Faycal Amor

Fayçal AMOR was born on November 24th 1949 in Tangiers, a city with international status. His father was a Moroccan industrial leader and his mother was a Russian painter. Fayçal grew up in Morocco and received an education that included both Oriental and Occidental cultures. He learned several languages and began painting at a young age. Fayçal then pursued formal studies in France and England, obtaining a degree in economics.

At 24 years old, Fayçal returned to Morocco with the intention of pursuing a career in business. However, he ultimately decided to pursue fashion instead. He developed a new dying process, found local textile mills to manufacture an innovative fabric, and designed his first collection. The collection was immediately purchased by French industrials who sold it under their own label.
